Welcome to the Portfolio site for producer/director/host Laila Kazmi.

Laila is a two-time Emmy® Award-winning producer/director/editor and a six-time nominee. She is currently a Senior Producer at Amazon. Her documentary shorts have aired on PBS television stations in Seattle (KCTS 9) and San Diego (KPBS), Seattle Channel, streamed on PBS NewsHour, and screened at Portland International Film Festival, Seattle Latino Film Festival, Seattle Arab Festival, and Women in Film & Television International Showcase. In 2019, she received her second regional Emmy Award for the documentary short: Los Artistas (The Artists), featuring stories of four Latino artists. Laila’s articles have been published on PBS NewsHour, KCTS9.org, Crosscut, The Seattle Times, Colorlines, and Pakistan's daily Dawn.

Laila has managed video production projects from pitch/ideation to delivery and publishing. At KCTS, Laila was the series producer for Reel NW, independent film series for broadcast and Borders and Heritage, digital and broadcast series. She has curated VR/360 programs.

She has previously served as the Board President for the Seattle Documentary Association. Laila has a Master of Communication from the University of Washington.

She has lived in Karachi, Bahrain, Chicago, and Seattle.
